Who we are
We are passionate educators who believe that children can thrive outside the traditional school model. We believe children excel when given the structure to be successful while also giving them time and freedom to explore what interests them.
We are not a school. We support homeschool families with enrichment opportunities to augment what they are already doing at home.
We are Christ-followers who believe education should be in the hands of the parents. While we love supporting them on this journey, parents are the primary educator.
Our tutors have a heart for Jesus and children. Our tutors use a variety of strategies to educate the whole-child. All of our staff is background checked and complete mandated reporter training. We take safety very seriously.
Southwest Christian Academy are not daycare centers and cannot provide child care services. Tuition does not qualify as a child care or dependent care expense.
Statement of Faith:
At Southwest Christian Academy, we are committed to providing an education that is deeply rooted in a Biblical worldview, recognizing the sovereignty of God and the authority of Scripture. Our educational approach aims to nurture students academically, spiritually, and emotionally, ensuring that they grow in knowledge and in their relationship with God.
Our Beliefs:
- The Bible: We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It serves as the ultimate guide for truth, morality, and wisdom, and is central to all that we teach and learn.
- God: We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully and equally God, yet distinct in role and function.
- Creation: We believe that God is the Creator of the universe and all that is in it. Humanity was created in God's image, with inherent value, dignity, and purpose. We believe that the natural world reflects God's glory and is to be stewarded with care and respect.
- Salvation: We believe that salvation is a gift from God, given to humanity by His grace alone, through faith alone, in the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ alone. Jesus Christ, through His death, burial, and resurrection, provides the only way for mankind to be reconciled to God.
- Parental Responsibility: We believe that parents are the primary educators of their children, entrusted by God with the responsibility to raise them in His truth. As an academy, we come alongside parents in this sacred role, supporting them in guiding their children in both their academic and spiritual development.

By enrolling in our homeschool program, both parents and students agree to respect and uphold these beliefs as foundational to our educational approach and the community life of Southwest Christian Academy. We understand that this commitment extends beyond the classroom, and we seek to create a learning environment that is consistent with Biblical principles.
We are dedicated to equipping and empowering every child to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ for a lifetime. We do this by fostering a safe, secure, and loving environment where students are encouraged to grow in both wisdom and character, becoming lifelong learners who reflect God's love to the world.
