At Southwest Christian Academy, we’re excited to announce the launch of our new Middle School Homeschool Hybrid Program for the upcoming academic year! Our mission has always been to provide a flexible and enriching educational experience, and our innovative hybrid model for middle school students is designed to meet the needs of modern families seeking a well-rounded, faith-based learning environment.

What is a Hybrid Program?

Our Hybrid Program combines the best of both worlds – the flexibility of homeschooling with the structure and support of a traditional classroom environment. Students will attend in-person classes at our academy while completing a portion of their coursework at home. This model allows students to develop greater independence while benefiting from direct interaction with teachers, peers, and our vibrant school community.

Core Subjects and Curriculum

Our Middle School Hybrid Program covers the core subjects necessary to develop well-rounded students:

• Math: Offering a strong foundation in mathematical concepts, including pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry.

• Language Arts: Developing strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, including literary analysis, composition, and vocabulary.

• Science: Hands-on, engaging lessons in life science, earth science, and physical science.

• History: A comprehensive study of world and American history, focusing on both historical events and their cultural impact.

• Bible: Biblical studies designed to instill strong moral character, a love for God’s Word, and application of Christian principles in daily life.

How It Works

On-Site Classes:
Students will attend our academy for a portion of the week to participate in live lessons, group activities, and hands-on learning. These in-person sessions are designed to provide the personal interaction and support that students need to deepen their understanding of the material.

Home-Based Learning:
For the remainder of the week, students will complete assignments and lessons from home, guided by the curriculum provided by our educators. They can access online resources, submit assignments, and receive feedback from teachers through our Learning Management System, Brightwheel.
